The Fault in Our Stars + workout + design ideas

The book was amazing. Very glad it was recommended to me. Very glad I read it.

Started the new workout routine yesterday.

Warmup - JJ x50, squats x20, straight leg swing x10, side leg swing x10, hip raises x10, pushups x10, aaand realized I need to do it upstairs where there is carpeting. Plywood is not friendly to my knees. Also, it's kinda splintery. F that.

Push press - 3x5 - 44 lbs.
  • Should have been 5x5, but my right knee started pinching. Sharp pain towards the outer part of the kneecap area. Decided to call it.
So, that ends day 1. It hurt too much to even consider weighted squats, unfortunately. Will try again Friday. If pain continues, may call the doc, as it might be all part of this weird knee shit I've had for going on seven months.

Ordered my assistance bands for pull ups. Super excited about that. And a jump rope. Not as excited about that.

Goals for next paycheck:
  • Oly bumper weights.
  • Dip station.
  • Legit squat shoes (maybe).
Need to foam roll tonight... Pain.

Have some interesting ideas for my mom's shop, when she opens it. Need to pick up another bead loom, but I have a neat idea for making infinity scarves with it, as well as add-on pieces for fingerless gloves. I also saw some potential ideas for enhancing flip flops... we'll see! Just need more free time, damn it all.
